NEWBURGH FREE ACADEMY NEWBURGH, NY
Former Graduate of 2017

I am a former cadet of the Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFJROTC), a program that focuses on developing leadership, discipline, and character. Through my time in AFJROTC, I learned the importance of integrity, teamwork, and responsibility. The program’s core objectives—building better citizens, encouraging academic excellence, and fostering respect for service and community—helped shape my strong work ethic and sense of purpose. My experience as a cadet strengthened my resilience and prepared me to face challenges with confidence.
Upon graduating in 2017, this video demonstrates that as a former AFJROTC cadet, I participated in personal inspections and drill team activities that strengthened my attention to detail, discipline, and teamwork. Personal inspections required me to maintain a high standard of uniform appearance, grooming, and military bearing, reinforcing accountability and pride in presentation. As a member of the drill team, I developed precision, coordination, and the ability to perform under pressure. Drill practices and performances taught me the importance of teamwork, communication, and dedication to excellence.

I am located in the upper right of the image, wearing a blue ribbon in recognition of winning the 2017 drill team competition.
